I am related to John Holderby, Jr, b1765VA through William, b 1805IL, then Franklin,b 1842IL, then Christian Cook, b 1872IL, then Glen, b1899IL, then Mary Deane, b1927IL. William had 2 wives, Ann Hood and Elizabeth Clark. Franklin fought in the Civil War and had 3 wives, Maggie Thornberger, Alice Bell and Eliza Jane Burkett.
I am told that the first Holderbys in America were 5 brothers that came over from Wales. Does anyone know who they were and where they came from. Also can anyone take the Holderby family back from John, Jr, I assume there must have been a John, Sr.
