Cousin has us back to 1766 with a John Holden/Holding and Elizabeth Alcock...he is looking for who their parents are, where they were bornand where John and Eliz are buried and the rest of their brood went to all were br in St Helens

we found 3 siblings info so far...He has looked everywhere for where they came from and cannot find out anything yet....the man haunts records for mentions of either one of them anywhere and everywhere ...He is almost positive that they did not come from St Helens...thinks they might have been canal people but no proof of that yet...
Funny that you said that Isle of Man may be a possibility for two of yours John and Jonathan. As Rons line comes from James Holden/Holdingson of John and Eliz who married aChristina Brice br 1811 Isle of Mann....
Well good luck finding yours...never saw so many Holdens in my life that cousin has dug up
