I have scanned copies (perhaps the originals somewhere too) of a woman and a young boy. The photos were taken in Yazoo, MS. My mother said that there were Holcomb(e) family who would stop and visit in Newport News, VA, with my Holcomb(e) family who lived in Yazoo. MS. They would be on their way from Yazoo, MS, to Vermont. All of this family had their roots in Grand Isle County, Vermont.
The pictures look to be from the late 1800's or the turn of the century. Sure would like to find out who they are and perhaps get the photos to their descendents.
Any knowledge of the Yazoo, MS, Holcomb(e) family?
