I recently learned that my Holcomb/Holcombe line is possibly connected to a Ferris line. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ http://genforum.genealogy.com/holcomb/messages/2541.html Posted by: Terry Ferris Vaughan Hi, I saw your posting on the Holcomb genforum. I've been doing some reasearch also. I have found where Obediah Holcomb married Rachel Ferris on Dec 20 1819 in Huron County. I'm tracing my Ferris roots and now wonder if Rachel is possibly a sister to my ggggrandfather James Ferris Jr. who married Florinda Smith on the same day. May have been a double wedding. hope this helps you some. ======================== Hope this info. is helpful for researchers. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ (ERIE and)HURON COUNTY, OHIO, MARRIAGES through 1838 [ERIE COUNTY was created from Huron County in 1838.] abridged from the Sally DeForest Chapter, D.A.R. 1934 transcription. http://ftp.rootsweb.com/pub/usgenweb/oh/erie/marriage/HurMar38.txt --- Obediah HOLCOMB and Rachel FERRIS, ....20 Dec 1819 Polly M.
