We have been looking into Linus Holcomb and have found that the Civil War Roster for the 105 Infantry division Illinois shows that he was killed in action March 16, 1865. We have also found the headstone marking his burial with the same date on :

And we have also found another site listing his three marriages and the children born to each, nine of which were born to his third wife after March of 1865, and that he died January of 1892:

Do you know of any way to fact-check any of these things to find out which is the truth?
