Your Obadiah is the same as the one in my message you refer to. On page 614 the book lists Obadiah's first marriage to Sarah hawk, one of whose parents was an Indian. It lists their children 1. Henry A. b. 1792, Elizabeth ("Bettie"), 3. Wiley, 4. Elijah, 5. Diaclesian ("Dia" or "Diah") b. 1799, 6. Peggy, 7. Richard b. 1803, 8. Jane ("Jensie"), 9. Rebecca ("Bexy" or "Becksy"), 10. Elisha b. 1808, 11. Cynthia, 12. Elsberry ("Berry")b. 1812, 13. Joseph b. 1814,
Sarah Hawk Holcombe wife and mother died 183_. Obadiah married his second wife, Millie Buckner b. N.C. 1815. Their children: 14. James R. b. 1838, 15. & 16. John and Obadiah b. 1839-40, 17. Hannah b. 1842. Where do you live? Do you have a library near to get copies from the book "The Holcombes Nation Builders" by Elizabeth Weir McPherson? The book has Obadiah his wives, children and ancestors but on the children it skips from his first, Henry to his 12th Elsberry. I am assuming you have the information on Elizabeth's decendants. Chivous, According to "The Nation Builders - The Holcombes" Obadiah and Sarah Hawk had 13 children: Henry, Elizabeth, Wiley, Elijah, Diaclesian, Peggy, Richard, Jane, Rebecca, Elisha, Cynthia, Elberry, and Joseph. All were born in Laurens Diastrict, SC between 1792 and 1814. They are buried in the Holcombe Cemetery in Mars Hill, NC. He married a second time and four children by the second wife, Millie Buckner,: James, John, Obadiah and Hannah, born between 1838 and 1842 in Buncombe County, NC
