HOKE Bible
Hoke Searchers:
I have a bible with a lot of Hoke data in it. I obtained the bible through my great aunt, Clara Louise Hagins. Clara worked at the Morrison Photography Studio in Chicago in the early part of the 1900s. Clara obtained the bible from her friend and employer, Alice L. Morrison. Alice L. Morrison was born Alice L. Hoke.
Names in the bible include:
Alice Utopia Hoke
Calm Morrison Hoke
Samuel Woodford Hoke
Sarah Andrew Hoke
Henry Louis Hoke
George E. Hoke
Mary Katherine Hoke
Celia E. Hoke
James Thomas Hoke
Sarah Moore Hoke
William Hoke
John Hoke
Cornelius Hoke
Andrew Hoke
Rebecca Hoke
Elizabeth Hoke
Polly Hoke
Related families include Morrison, Pearson, Carter, McDearman, Stafford, Cromwell, Reeves, McIntyre.
Inscription at the beginning of the data pages is: "Copied from Grandmother Pearson's bible."
If any researchers have information relating to this family, especially information regarding Clara Louise Hagins or the Morrison studios, I would be very glad to exchange data.
