Hello, We may be related. My Alfred N. Gauthier was a son of Pierre Theodule Gauthier and Angelique Langlois. My gauthier line came from Quebec then went to Plattsburg,NY.There were several children,one was a Silas and one was a Marie. I recall in a couple of the census in Plattsburg seeing a John Hoag residing with the Gauthier family. I also think in one census therte is John Hoag and wife Marie Hoag residing with or near the Gauthiers.
My ancestor Alfred N. Gauthier was also martried at St. Peters church in Plattsburg. The Gauthier family were parishoners of this church. Let me know what you think.
