Looking for information on William Hoggatt, born c1830 (possible son of Wilford??). William listed as age 70 on Final Dawes Roll as MS Choctaw (Natchez MS) with small percentage of Choctaw blood. Married to Phoebe Baptiste who most likely was of Choctaw descent. Phoebe apparently not living when William made application to Dawes Commission about 1900.
Natchez Court Records indicates Wilford Hoggatt claimed 400 acres on Sandy Creek - an original Spanish grant of 1789 to John Ratcliff who assigned the tract to Wilford Hoggatt about 1804.
