You said that I'm going backwards, that would be because I haven't actually followed John's line, I'm a descendant of his brother's (James).
James Hoggan (my line) came to Australia, married Jane Kay. They only had 2 children: James (23/11/1864) and Minnie.
James (23/11/1864) married Jane Fraser, and they had 14 children: Jane Margaret, Minnie, Agnes, Elsie, Archibald, James Robert (11/6/1900), Albert John, Arthur Leslie, Alfred Charles, Percy George, William Edward, Francis Beveridge, Florence Ellen & Rosalie May.
James (11/6/1900) married Mildred Murrell, they had 8 children: Doris, Annie, Estelle, Mavis, Coral, Keith, Laurence & Neil (26/3/1934).
Neil (26/3/1934) married Patricia Beauglehole, and they had 6 children: Peter, Russell, Daryl, Julie, Lisa (me) & Mathew.
