Hi everyone...looking for information about John HOGG, born in Derby England in 1859. His father was Abraham HOGG (1803-1873) and his Mother was Abraham's second wife Mary QUEENING (nee HOWARD). They married in 1859 and I have them in the 1861, and 1871 censuses. Hi mother died in 1880 and Abraham had predeceased her in 1873.
In the 1881 census, John is in the Royal Navy and is an Able Seaman who is a patient in a military hospital in Plymouth, Devon. I am interested in later Military information and/or marriage or family info. A family story says that he was a Quartermaster in the Navy as late as 1890 or so, but I have been unable to locate him in the 1891 census.
