In the 1840 U.S. Census for Benton, Newton, Missouri (245/29), the household of Wm. S. Hogue is enumerated. Among those listed by age is a male child between one and five years of age. In the 1850 U.S. Census for Marion, Newton, Missouri (37/42/421), the household of William. S. Hoge is enumerated. Among those listed is William, ten years of age. A William James Hoge, born in 1835 in Missouri is enumrated in tbe 1860 U.S. Census for Karnes County, TX., in the home of James B. Middlebrook working as a farmer. He married Zenabia Shirley Middlebrook Tenneson about 1867. In the 1880 U.S. for Uvalde County, TX. the household of William James Hoge is enumerated. William James Hoge was my gr. grandfather
Does anyone know if there ia a connection between the William in the Missori census and the William in the Texas census?
