Thank you so much for your reply. According to the 1910 census of Nebraska, Romeo Hogue was married to Ida Gregory in 1884. By the second marriage he had children: Harry, Ruth, Grace, Susan, James Earl, and Willard. Unless there was more than one Romeo Hogue, his first wife, Elva, must have been dead by then. Does your Hogue book have an index? If so, could you check to make sure that there was only one Romeo Hogue listed? Romeo of Nebraska was born in Ohio and is known to have had two wives. I checked the 1900 census of Iowa and the Romeo G. Hoge listed in 1880 was no longer there and, I assume, had moved to Nebraska. Thanks again.
