I was able to type up the information in this bible sooner than I thought. This
is not a literal transcription - I am summarizing what I found in the bible.
Here it is:

The bible of John C. Hoge and R. B. Hoge (the date looks like 7/7/1894, but it's
faint)

Absalom Hoge (son of Isaac and Elizabeth Hoge), born 2/8/1787, died 9/17/1865.
Rachel Coffee (daughter of John and Rachel Coffee), born 10/9/1791, died 11/9/1862.
They were married 10/30/1811. Their children:

1) John C. Hoge (born 7/2/1813) married Rebecca B. Bonsall (daughter of Edward
and Rachel Bonsall) born 7/5/1818, died 7/22/1879) on 4/26/1843. Their children:
a) Lindley M. Hoge, born 6/18/1844
b) Hannah Elma Hoge, born 1/12/1848
c) Edward B. Hoge, born 10/2/1853

John C. Hoge then married Ann B. Wood (born 1/7/1822) on 6/29/1882.

2) Isaac Hoge (born 6/15/1815, died 9/8/1861) married Mary A. Hayburn (daughter
of William and Sarah Hayburn) in 1844 (no month or day given).

3) Mary Ann Hoge (born 9/8/1817) married Daniel Holloway (son of Jacob and
Martha Holloway) on 5/3/1838.

4) Elizabeth Hoge (born 7/17/1819, died 9/1819 (no day given)).

5) James Hoge (born 8/16/1820, died 8/19/1849).

6) Rachel P. Hoge (born 6/29/1823, died 7/16/1854) married Samuel C. McGrew (son
of Nathan and Elizabeth McGrew) born 2/8/1822, died 7/23/1862) on 10/30/1850.
Child:
a) Eulysses Absalom McGrew (born 4/7/1853)

7) Lindley M. Hoge (born 6/29/1826, died 9/29/1835).

Note: at different places in the record, the Bonsall surname is spelled Bonsall
and Bonsal.

At some point down the road, I would be willing to xerox the actual pages and
mail them to anyone who wants them. However, some of the writing is faint and I'm not
sure all the entries will copy well.

To answer the question some of you have asked me, I am NOT descended from any of
the Hoges. I was on vacation doing my own genealogical research near Lewes,
Delaware, when I came upon this bible in an antique mall - it cost me $35, but I
couldn't pass it up when I saw the family record laid out inside! Somebody
e-mailed me that James' son Lindley was listed in the 1880 census in Wilmington,
Delaware, and that may be how the bible got from Ohio to Delaware.
