The only source that I have found that connects James Hoge (spouse Margaret Parks)to parents Hon. John Hoge and Gwentholyn Bowen Davis is WFT Vol. 8 Tree #2364. You can contact submitter of tree and check their source. In their note section was the following statement. "James Hoge served in the Canadain Campaign in Capt. Hendricks Company. He enlisted in Cumberland County, Pennsylvania in 1775. He served 4 years in the Pennsylvania Continental lines and was with George Washington's troops at the surrender of British troops at Yorktown, Virginia October 19, 1781. May I suggest that you contact D.A.R with these reference numbers: #19139 - #20274 - #25172 - #187652 - #187653 - #358487.
Good Luck ED
