I was trying to sort out this family just today also. This is what I think is right. Tell me if you think this wrong:
George Tyler b. 13 Dec 1817 d. 6 Nov 1889. He married first, Jane Coleman DeJarnette 26 Dec 1820 d. 6 Jan 1841. They had two daughters one died at age 11. George married
Eliza Hoge secondly. She died the same day their only child, James Hoge Tyler was born 11 Aug 1846. He married thirdly 2 Nov 1852, I find this odd, Jane Coleman Quisenberry b. 15 March 1830 d. 25 Feb 1859. They had two children: Nannie Brown Tyler and George William Tyler b. 9 Feb 1857 m. Mary Stuart Carter. In the 1880 census James Hoge Tyler (J. H. Tyler) is living with his wife and children and a brother who is a teacher, George W. Tyler. I assume this to be the son of Jane Coleman Quisenberry, the age fits. Do you think otherwise?
My other question is George Tyler (b. 1817) lived over 30 years after his third wife died. Did he marry a 4th time?
I found a George Tyler about the right age in Caroline Co Virginia in the 1880 census. His wife is Nannie and he has a number of children.
Please let me know what you think.
