Yes, you are correct that the marker is not the original marker. You can see in the photo that it is a completely modern marker by style, spelling, and marker materials, and construction. It was installed by the Opequon Church in the approximate location of the burial spot of Mr. and Mrs. Hoge. They were supposed to have been buried just inside the gate to Burying Ground #2. As you can read from the account by the church administrator on another posting, the burying grounds (especially #1) were damaged through neglect and during a couple Civil War battles. Cori
