Thank you so much for your helpful response. May I ask whether the book you cite is still available and if the authors are accessible?
Am I to infer from your information that Nancy Hoge is, in fact, the mother of my ancestor James Hoge? I wonder why there was such a glaring error in the biography of Moses Hoge, written by his own grandson?
