Mt grandfather was Fred Hogue.I don't have a middle name for him.He married Luela(Lula) Cockrum.I think they lived around the Cooper/Sulpher Springs area in Texas when they married. He died in Dallas August 15?,1946.That was 2 months before i was born. They had 5 children.4 girls and one son(my father). My grandmother's ( brother?or parents?). Conflicting stories there. She was raised by them as her parents as far as the family was concerned anyway. They were Annie Warren Cockrum and Jessie Willian or William Jessie (another different tale.)The girls were Jessie,Dessie Loraine,Pearly May Evelina, and Annie May Elsbeth. My father was Loyd.He later added the name Sammie to the front and went by Sammie Loyd.I barely remember Annie.I know my grandfather had several brothers and some sisters. One brother was Williard. They married sisters.I don't know or remember very much. They all lived around the Cooper?Sulpher Springs area and we lived in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.I would really appreciate any information anyone may have.Oh yes, there is supposed to be some Indian Blood on the Warren side and A little on the Cockrum side.It is supposed to be Cherokee and Choctaw.Or maybe vise versa more on the Chochrum side. And another thing a cousin found something that says William and lula(if they are brother and sister)were orphaned. You can email me at [email protected] for any help you may can give..Zoetta Struck
