I am decended through William and Barbara. They had a son named William HOGE Jr. who was married to Ann. Their son was George HOGGE married to Elizabeth Blackledge. Their son was William HOGGE married to Nancy. They had a son named Hiram HOGGE m. to Elizabeth (Betsy) Billington. On the back of Hiram's tombstone it reads:
Hiram was the son of William and Nancy HOGGE. Nancy changed the name to HOGUE in 1841. Hiram traveled to Marshall County, TN around 1833. In 1848, Hiram traveled by wagon to Saline County, Ark., and settled about a mile from this cemetery (Marvin Chapel Cemetery). Hiram was a charter member of Lost Creek Methodist Church, changed in 1884 to Marvin Chapel. Hiram was a member of Benton Masonic Lodge No. 34. Hiram and Betsy Hogue left a rich legacy of love and respect for God, country, and family.
Erected 1994 by Douglas Hogue - Fay Hogue Bowen - Steve Perdue - Kathleen Hogue Perdue
