VA HOGES/TYLERS
Posted by: Martha Graham Date: December 07, 2000 at 00:12:06

Would appreciate help in tracking down some Tyler ancestors and in-laws, in Virginia.

One, a James Tyler, born early 1800s in Montgomery, Caroline or Wythe, but settled in Lee County and said to be related to Gov. James Hoge Tyler; the other, a George Tyler. Need more info re birth, parents, siblings. Would also like to know who Civil War Lt. Colonel George Tyler was; he apparently headed a unit of men who were from or operated in the Cumberland Gap area. Finally, is there anywhere can I get even a photocopy of the genealogy book by Gov. Tyler?

Many thanks,
Martha Tyler Graham
