Is it possible to get a copy of the photos you have?I will be happy to reimburse you for any expenses involved.
I am Paul's grandson. I will check to see what I have on Riley Hogan, but most of my data on his line came from my Aunt Martha Hogan Avett or from the LDS.I don't think I have his school.
I would really like to have any data you can provide on your line.I will give you my snail mail address by e-mail.
According to Martha Avett, Dr Hogan said his father was William, his grandfather was James and his greatgrandfather was Joseph who was married to Rebecca.Martha contends that a SC will made by Joseph Hogains, whose wife was Rebecca, is the will of our Joseph. However, that will was proved about 5 years before our James Hogan was born.I think it is highly unlikely that the will is that of our Joseph.
Joseph has been illusive for me.Martha says Dr. Hogan told how he immigrated from Ireland to Charleston in 1758 when he was 14 years old as an indentured servant. He is said to have worked his way to Pickens SC, fighting in the F&I War at times. He supposedly died in Pickens. I can't verify any of this information.Wes
