I'm looking for details of my great, great grandmother, Catherine Hogan, who on her son's birth records show her as being born in Thurles, Tipperary, Ireland.
At the time of James Hogan Smith's birth in QLD, Australia, 1887, she was down as either 31 or 34 (illegible).
She married a Walter James Smith in 1879 in QLD.
I've searched the North Tipperary Council Baptism records but cannot find anything conclusive (and managed to waster 30 euros doing the record viewing...rigged for a rip-off).
