Rudolph Hoffmann - Bear Creek, Wisconsin

Am seeking to connect with other descendents. His parents are listed on the 1880 census as Christ and Johanna Hoffmann. I would like to find out where in Germany they were from. Rudolph is their only child that I know of, but Hoffmann is a common name around Clintonville, New London, Bear Creek, Appleton, etc...and I think many of them would be cousins if the link can be found. Rudolph (1846-1918) was married to Johanna Yost (1842-1924). My grandfather was Rudolph's son Werner. Other siblings of Werner were: Frank (M1. Carolina Duwe and M2. Elsie (or Elsa)Schubert), Ernest (M. Amelia Goldschmidt), Bertha (M. John Stiebs), Anna (M. B.P.McCormick and lived in Colorado with four known children Albert, Ruth, George and Harold), and Emma (M. Frederick Heling with one son Edward)
