Some years ago in the beginning of my Hoffman research, I thought that David Hoffman who md. Catherine Frye was a son of one of my ancestors. However, as the years passed and I began to hear from those descended from another David Hoffman, I realized I was incorrect and unlinked him from my family. To date, I have no idea of who David Hoffman who md. Catherine Frye belongs to; can anyone enlighten me?
Information I have gathered over the years on David and Catherine: David born 31 Dec 1825; resided in Latimore Twp., Adams, PA.; died 08 May 1890 possibly same place; buried in Chestnut Grove Cem., Latimore Twp., Adams, PA. He married 13 Feb 1849 in York Springs, Adams, PA. to Catherine Frye (spelled more than one way); she was born either 22 Oct or November 1826 in Latimore Twp.; died 19 Nov 1910 possibly somewhere in Adams county and is also buried in Chestnut Grove. Children:
Amanda Jane; John Calvin; Joseph Luther; Mary Elizabeth; Henrietta Louisa; Edward Rufus; David Andrew and Nancy Ann.
I am sure there are many descendants out there who can tell me where this David belongs on a Hoffman tree – not necessarily mine, of course. Thanks for your help.
