Marianne:Your father was my half-brother.He never knew I existed. We have never met.I, too, would love to find him.Have you had any success?I understand he had a sister, also - Sue - who was a teacher in the Houston area but apparently died of cancer.I would love to be able to track down her husband.I have talked with your sister, Sheryl, but it has been several years ago.At the time she was living in Alexandria, Louisiana. She has a lovely family and is a sweet person. And very, very pretty. So, actually, technically, you would be my niece, as well.I live in the Dallas Fort Worth area. Many of the Hoffer relatives lived in this area, though they may be deceased by now.Don't know how much you already know. But Fred Jr.'s father went by the name Rudy.I believe Rudy had 12 siblings - a large family, but apparently not close-knit.Rudy's father was one of the very first Texas Rangers. He appears in a photograph, on horseback, in the Texas Ranger Museum in Waco, Texas. There is a Hoffer family cemetery in Miami, Texas.I visited there 4-5 years ago. Please let me hear from you.
