Subject: Hoff/Huff stuff

Hi Folks,

Sorry I have been so busy with the new and more indepth Hoff/Huff dna testing but still been gathering what I could on our old folks when time has permitted .

Couple of things of interest I have discovered from my courthouse document research that will lead to more proveable connections in the near future are these .

Old Amos born 1775's brother Joshua Hoff/Huff I knew had married a Ms. Peters but did know her first name or her parents . I have now proven who she was .

Joshua Hoff (brother of Amos) married Margaret Peters the daughter of John and wife Martha Peters of York county South Carolina .
So we can ink in another of Old Amos's sister in laws and see if that family ever mentioned ole Amos OR HIS WIFE in their history or journals .
I also have tracked out all of Margaret Peters Hoff's siblings.

Old Amos born 1775 we know from the father Powell Hoff/Huff's last will and testament of 1816 York county South Carolina (I have a full transcript now if anyone wants it ) had a sister that married Francis Carson but it never gave us the name of Amos sister that married Carson's first name .
We can now find that lost sister's name if we want to .

I have been able to prove by courthouse records that Francis Carson (brother in law of ole Amos 1775) was the son of the Revolutionary War soldier William Carson and his wife SHUSANNA Carson . Yes they spelled her name that way , it's not a typo .
I also have been able to document PROVE all of Amos brother in law Francis Carson's siblings and lines .

"IF" Amos born 1775 was the father of Powell born 1801 and John Harvey Hoff , then these are Powell and John Harvey's first cousins and unknown what their history or documents might hold for us.

All I need to do now in order to prove what Amos born 1775's sister that married Carson first name was is to get the deed of sale from the York county South Carolina courthouse for Francis Carson and HIS Hoff wife's huge plantation they owned there . She will be named on the deed of sale because of the value of the property on Turkey Creek .

I do have in the mail to me all of the 20 original probate and will papers for ole Amos born 1775's brother Jonathan Hoff/Huff that died in 1815 South Carolina where it proves this Jonathan that married Agatha was Amos brother .

Keep up the great work , I am trying to analyze what you have posted to to the Hoff site history section from early New Jersey to see what we might be able to learn from them .
Thanks for posting them and please feel free to use/post this new information about the Hoff family in anyway you would want/like to.

All your cousin,
Larry Huff
