GEORGE HOFF/HUFF (b: 1780 VA) & son RICHARD HUFF (b: 1830)

There is likely another branch of related Hoffs to the Washington County, Ohio, "elder group" of Enoch, James, William, John F. and Amos: That of GEORGE HOFF/HUFF (born 1780 VA), and his son, RICHARD HUFF (b: 1810 Ohio)

I don't know how this fellow has escaped us so far, but it appears "our" Richard Hoff born 1810 that married Catherine (?) was the son of an undiscovered George Hoff/Huff that was probably born ~1780. I would say we can find a marriage record for this Richard Hoff in Ohio County, Virginia, between 1832 and 1836.

You will find this older George (spelled Huff by this time) residing in Ohio Co., Virginia, in 1830, and then you find our Richard Hoff (born 1810), his son, in Ohio Co., Virginia in 1840 and just married with a couple of children and wife before his move to Washington County, Ohio, just before the 1850 census.

How closely or IF this older George is related to the NJ or the Washington County, Ohio, clan of yours, I do not know yet but this is where Richard Hoff born 1810 came from.

Either way we can delete him from Enoch and Nancy Duncan Hoff's line.

Your buddy,
Cuz Larry Huff
