The Pigg River is not named after the Peggs as far as I know. Part of that River is in Franklin County VA as well as Pittsylvania. Nathaniel Pegg once he arrived in Loudoun he stayed there. He was deeded land by Joseph Reeder and then acquired land also. The Reeder Trace he left to Wm Polen, my ancestor and the other tract he left ot Wm's Twin Nathaniel. I have a lot of ancestors that came from this portion of VA and am very familiar with those records too. Most of those SW counties' record are extant
However I am familiar with the Hoff's/Huffs from SW VA as I descend from them too. Moore is on my mother's side and Phillip is on my father. Phil was born about 1752 and died about 1832 in Montgomery Co VA. I descend through his Dau. Sarah who first married Theodorick Webb and after his death married Geo. Walker, They lived in the general vicinity of the PIgg River in Franklin Co. While Philip lived in Loudoun for a short time he eventually migrated down the Valley of Va and settled in Montgomery. Some of his sons as I remember moved to Franklin Co but I have not followed them too closely.
I just saw an article that stated the Moore Hoff was part of the Bristow tract as a leasor for approximately 200 acres I believe. I am not sure that the deed book is extant where Moore purchased his 2 tracts that you mention. I believe that he deeded this lands to one of his sons with the condition that the son maintain him and his second wife. Later, even though he had deeded the land to his son, he sold the mineral rights to it.
Not sure what you question is about these deeds...
