FOUND IN NEW JERSEY COLONIAL DOCUMENTS:

1722 NOV. 19th ----Derick Hoff, of Maidenhead, Hunterdon Co, NJ. Will of.

Children: 1)William, 2)Sarah Anderson, 3)Richard, 4)Thomas, 5)Powell, 6)John, 7)Charles, 8)Joseph, 9)Benjamin, 10)Sarah Hoff, 11)Mary Gary (both Saraha are called daughters). Real and personal estate (money-bequest at 8s. per ounce.

Executors - sons, Powell and John. Witnesses- John Albade, Rut Johnson, Hanna Johnson.

Proved December 22nd, 1730
Lib. 3, p. 108



note: Rut Johnson ended up in Pr. Wm. Co., Virginia and married into Vincent Dey family, which was John Dye's Uncle.

Check his family history on <Rootsweb.com> or <ancestry.com>


John Dye's name does not appear on any tax records in VA until 1791.

The NJ State archives in Trenton, NJ probbly has this on micro-film, since all their records are on micro-film. Posted by JOHN S. HOFF
