JOHN F./JONATHAN HOFF (1775 Pr. William Co., VA - Dec. 1812 Fearing Twp., Washington Co., OH) was the son of the The Rev. DANIEL HOFF (1746 NJ - 1802 Pr. William Co., VA) and SUSAN SOPHIA MOFFETT HOFF (1749- 1819), and husband to ELIZABETH DUNCAN.They had 2 chidren, both sons:
1.JOHN HARVEY HOFF (b: 16 Apr 1807 - Wash'g Co., OH); and,
2.POWELL HOFF (13 Aug 1801 Pr. William Co., VA - 1870 Dallas Co., IA)
He reportedly died in Fearing Twp. (on Duck Creek), Washington Co., OH.His widow was ELIZABETH DUNCAN HOFF, who lived until 1839 and believed to have been buried in Mound Ce., Marietta, OH.The grave site of JOHN F. HOFF has not been proven, but is probably in an unmarked location in the Stanleyville Stn. Cem., Washington Co., OH.His Will had not yet been located in the Washington Co. records, but must exist because there was an Estate Accounting & Settlement filed in the Probate Court, in Feb. 1813.Here is a transcribed copy of what was filed (Pages 285-286) as the Final Accounting and disposition of the assets of the Est. of JOHN F. HOFF:
