I never was able to find Leah's last name, but it makes sense the name Fourman shows up quite a bit on the census records. Martin does show up in the 1870 census as Martin Huflicker 40 years old from Wurtemberg Germany. His wife is listed as Clara instead of Leah she is the correct age and she shows up as Layon in the 1860 census. I am descended from Henry b. May 1857. I have his siblings listed as...
Mary Katharine b. 1855
George b. 1859
Lydia b. 1862
John W b. 1864
Emma b. 1867
William b. 1869
Margaret b. 1873
Samuel b. 1876
(the dates are estimates based on census info.)
I assume that your William is the same as mine. My grandmother was George O. Hofacker's daughter b. 1911. George was the son of Henry. I have not been able to find any information on Martin in Wurttemburg Germany or the Hofacker line over there. Although there are some references on the LDS site to a Martin Hofacker that belonged to a somewhat prominent family in that area back in the early 1700's -possibly an ancestor. I do have Martin's Naturalization record recorded in Darke Co. on Jan 1, 1861. It lists him as a native of Wurtemberg and his departure date from Germany as Feb. 11, 1852 and his arrival in New York as April 23, 1852. He is 31 at the time of his naturalization, I have his bday listed as Feb 7, 1830, I calculated that from his tombstone at the Ithaca cemetary on Rt. 503 which says he died on Jan 11, 1893 at the age of 62 years, 11 months and 4 days. Leah's death was also recorded on Sept. 9, 1912 at age 77y 11m and 21 days -Which worked out to Sept 17, 1834. The stone is shaped like a big tree. I hope I didn't just give you a bunch of info you already have, but I have been totally stumped on Leah's last name for a long time, thanks.
Hope this info helps.
