Sorry to convey this but George Hodgson who married Mary Thatcher was not the son of Robert Hodgson and Sarah Borden.
I have seen both of their wills and George is not in either of them. Sarah specifically named her oldest child who was not George.
George's parents remain a mystery. Several of the descendants, including myself have been looking for years to try and find him.
Personally I don't think he became a Quaker until he married Mary.
They were married in a church in Maryland. There was a George Hodgson who was sent over as a prisoner from Scotland for being a Jacobite and he was about the right age but no solid proof.
