Hi Sylvia,
I am researching the Davis and Hodnett surnames in Pittsylvania County, Virginia area also. I am not familiar with the name Lucinda Davis at this time but I will keep your interest in the back of my mind in case I run across it.
My Davis-Hodnett connection is Joseph Davis marriage to Lucy Hodnett March 19, 1793. Joseph's father was William Davis died 1790. William had a daughter Lucy who did marry a John Hodnett. This is most likely the Lucy Davis you found and eliminated. If you developed any additional information re this couple, Joseph Davis or William Davis I would appreciate any help you might be able to give.
