Dear Fellow Hodnetters;
My name is Paul Edises. My maternal grandmother was born Kathleen Hodnett. We are beginning our research on her genealogy. This has proven difficult. She was born in Chicago Il. on Nov. 28th, 1910. According to her baptism certificate from Saint Malachy's church in Chicago;
Father: John Hodnett
Mother: Ellen Baker
God Father: Jermiah Hodnett
God Mother: Rose Kiolin
I don't know what the relationship was to Jermiah Hodnett. My grandmother reportedly had a brother, we don't know his name. She was orphaned or given up for unknown reasons at an early age. She served as a sort of maid as a child. All of this is very, very sketchy. She has been gone since 1973 and is the last Hodnett that we know of in the line, unless we find her brother. We also would love to find her family history. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
