He died in Jun 1885 at Knaresborough Registration District, Yorkshire, England, aged 72.

8 Mary Hodgson was born in 1825. She died on 27 Sep 1830 at Kirkwhelpington, Northumberland.
9 Emma Hodgson was born in 1826. She married Reverend Benjamin Centum Kennicott in 1846.
