A biography of Arthur M. Hodgson, farmer and stock raiser of Flathead Co., MT, is included in "Montana, Its Story and Biography", Vol 3, pages 1037 & 1038. Parents: Zimri and Martha (Voorhees) Hodgson. Zimri was a breeder and raiser of purebred livestock.
Arthur was educated in district schools. For a number of years remained associate with his father's business but finally engaged in farming and stock raising at Forrest, IL, and later at Healey, IL. In 1904, Arthur came to Kalispell, in the Flathead Valley of MT.
Arthur Hodgson married Myrtle Kent, born Waynesburg, PA, daughter of Thomas B. and Elizabeth (Ingersoll) Kent, who moved to the Flathead Valley in 1904 and engaged in farming. Hodgson child: Jennie, graduated from Kalispell High School in 1911.
