Tracie
Thanks so much for responding. I really don't know anything, except I have a female Sidney Hodges found in the Holmes Co., MS household of Edward Johnson1850.Edward Johnson's wife was Tabitha Brister.I find later in 1860, the presumed mom of Tabitha Brister in their household. Her name is Anna or Nancy Anna/Ann (from other records) and also a William Hodges in the household.
I am postulating this male could be a brother to Anna.I am also wondering if he could also be the father of my Sidney Hodges.
I am 99 99/100% sure there is a family connection..but I may not have the right relationship between the mom of Tabitha and the William Hodges living with them in 1860
I have been "offered" suggestions that the father of Nancy Anna/Anne was William "Billy" Hodges; others suggest Drury..
no one has shared any documentation.I have also been told Drury had children, William, Anna and Edmond...but no proofs.
I can see either of them as possibilities...Tabitha names a son Drury, and the man in her household in 1860 is William, possibly named for his father???
If you have anything that is a clue I would love to know more.
Thanks again
