Gene, you have helped a great deal, I didn't have has name as Asa and his birth place and I didn't know of this second son..Right, I also looked for A.P. death cert and dhaven't found it either, wonder if he's buried by her in Santa Anna, we were their but hadn't found her grave, may need to go back maybe he's there also...Gene what puzzled me when I researched dher father John McCaskill, which had 10 children, with the last one born approx. @1856 named Malinda, then I find this Cliffie which sounds to me like a nickname and born about 10 yrs later and I wonder if these 2 girls might be the same....but it even gets weird, this John, their father according to 1900 census in Leon co.,TX., was born in May of 1809, which it be plausible to have a daughter in 1856 or 57 but in 1867--isn't that a bit of a stretch, he'd bhave been 57 or 8 yrs old, is this possible...thought maybe he just took her in??? or something like that, not his real biological daughter, unless I have the wrong info on Malinda, can't find a thing on her except she was in the census in 1860 in coffee co., ALA...what do you think>???? thanks Lillian
