I know a number of researchers have been beating at the brick wall of Andrew Hodge, b. ca. 1804, m. Cynthia and lived in Pulaski Co., Va., and Elijah Hodge, b. ca. 1810, m. Melinda Anderson and lived in Montgomery Co., Va.
We now have a DNA test that strongly supports the idea that these are sons of Welcome William Hodges and Polly Pines, married in Franklin Co., Va. in 1807.
Other sons of the couple appear to be Gabriel, Wilson, Marcus and Harvey. The latter four moved to Lawrence Co., Ky.
The DNA test is through Marcus and matches to the Franklin Co., Hodges.
