The Fleming Hodges that you reference in your question was the eldest of 10 sons and 2 daughters of Thomas Hodges. He was born in Halifax County, Virginia in 1771. He married Elizabeth Powell, daughter of Edward Powell, 5/17/1792 in Halifax County. They then moved to Claiborne County. I don't know anything about their grandson Fielding. However, Fleming did have a brother named Fielding. I have a copy of Fleming's marriage bond and Thomas' will. I will e-mail them to you if you want them.
