EDMOND HODGES - MISSISSIPPI, 1850'S
Hi!
I am trying to find out anything about my gggrandfather, Edmond Hodges.I know very little about him except that he was married to Elizabeth J. Cypert (although I have found a marriage record in Itawamba County, MS, for an Edmond Hodges and an Elizabeth Stephens) who was born in 1838 and died in 1858.As far as I know, their only child was my gggrandmother, Rebecca Jane Hodges, who born around 1857.She married William Miller (1844 - Abt. 1900).After her mother's death, she was raised by her mother's family, the Cyperts and, in some census records, she is listed as a Cypert.I know where Elizabeth Cypert (Stephens?) Hodges is buried, but Edmond is not there.
These people lived in Lee County, MS, during this time frame.Keep in mind that Lee County, MS, was made up of parts of Itawamba County and Pontotoc County.
Please feel free to email if you have any information about Edmond Hodges.Email address:[email protected]
I will be glad to share info if I have something that will help someone else.
Thanks, in advance, for any assistance!
