Sorry to be so late but I have just started looking at the records. I have the article and obituary for William Hodge dated Friday, July 25, 1890 who was killed on duty as a city marshal in Pontiac, Illinois July 21 by gun shot. He is said to have been 39 years old which would put his birth at 1851. He left a wife Mary Daley or Daily (spelled Daley in this article but spelled Daily in her obituary) The children listed are Nellie Florence Hodge my grandmother, Dr. Stanley Hodge, Mrs Henry Ross, Mrs Richard Lee and John Hodge. The information I have says the family was from County Down in Ireland and Mary Daley (Daily) was from Tipperary also in Ireland
