BENJAMIN M. HODGE,JR. DEED TO ANN HODGE, RICHLAND CO., SC 1826

Know all men by these presents that I, Benjamin Hodge of Richland District, in the state aforesaid in consideration of the sum of $200 to me paid by Ann Hodge of the state and district aforesaid have granted bargained and sold and released and by these presents do grand bargain sell and release unto the said Ann Hodge a certain plantation parcel or tract of land situated in Richland District containing 126 acres more or less originally granted unto the said Isaac Williams under the hand of his Excellency Paul Hamilton Esquire in a tract of 476 acres dated the third day of November 1806 and surveyed for the said James Massey the 25th day of September 1806 situated lying and being on big branch waters of Big Crane Creek of Broad River duly recorded in the Sec.'s office in grant book B page 271 the aforesaid 126 acres more or less being in the North and Northeast part of the aforesaid 476 acre tract reference being had unto the original plat and grant thereof will more fully and at-large appear. Together with all and singular the rights members hereditaments and appurtenances to the said premises belonging or in any wise incident appertaining to have and to hold all and singular premises before mentioned unto the said Ann Hodge her heirs assigns forever and I do hereby bind myself and my heirs executors and administrators to warrant and forever defend all and singular the said premises unto the said Ann Hodge her heirs and assigns against me and my heirs lawfully claiming or to claim the same or any part thereof witness my hand and seal this 17th day of January 1826. In the year of our Lord 1826 and in the 49th year of the independence of the United States of America.
