W. F. HODGE Dies March 19 at Hospital
WILLIS FRANKLIN HODGE of Star Route 2 died at Mimbres Memorial Hospital Wednesday, March 19. Funeral services were held at the Wheeler Mortuary March 21, Rev. FRANCIS WHEELER officiating. Interment was in Mountain View Cemetery.
Born Aug. 26, 1899 in Graham, Oklahoma, Mr. HODGE came to New Mexico from Healdton, Oklahoma in March of 1937 and had worked for El Paso Natural Gas Co. for 27 years 8 months when he retired Aug. 27, 1964. Survivors include his wife, JULIA HODGE of Deming, one son JESSE HODGE of Willcox, Arizona; three daughters, EVELYN ENGLAND of New Lagunas, N. M., MARTHA JANECKA of Deming, and RUBY HUBBARD of Hayden, Ariz.; one brother, seven sisters, 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were JIMMY FOSTER, JIMMY PORCHER, JOE MCWILLIAMS, BERT IRWIN, BILL THOMPSON, and FRANK PORCHER. Honorary pallbearers were C. S. CLINE, NATHAN RAY, JIM HURT and DOC OWENS.
Attending the funeral from out of town were Mr. and Mr. R. W. HODGE of Buchanan, Texas; Mr. adn Mrs. A. G. WOODS of Weatherford, Okla.,Mr. and Mrs. LEONARD DEFIBAUGH of Norman, Okla., VASHTIE CARLTON of Shamrock, Texas, BETTY ANDREWS of Salt Flats, Texas, ARLEN CANFIELD of Albuquerque, Mr. and Mrs. JOE MCWILLIAMS of Willcox, Arizona, and Mr. and Mrs. JACK ARRINGTON of Las Cruces.
