I'm afraid I can't help you with your questions about marriage or death, but I believe I found William in 1860 and 1870.

1860 Tuolumne, CA
James H Brooks 36 Miner
Adel 11
Sissock 2
Bell 8/12
Jane Hodge 29 Housekeeper Eng
William 12 WI
Henry 4 CA

1870 Tuolumne, CA
Wm Hodges 22 Blacksmith WI
Henry 18 Blacksmith WI

1870 Emory, Stanislaus County, CA
Austin Smith 40 Blacksmith VT
William Hodge 22 Laborer WI

It appears that Thomas died before 1860. Since he was a miner in Wisconsin, it seems probable that he moved with his family to CA and died there.

I couldn't find any trace of Jane after the 1860 census. You might try posting on the Tuolumne County forum.

Hope this is helpful.
