Doug, I am a descendant of the Hodges of South Carolina and would appreciate any information you can give me.My grandmother was the daughter of Samuel Hodge, born July 26, 1794 in Union District,SC, died in Paris, MS Feb. 27, 1865.He was the son of John Hodge, born circa 1762 at York County, PA and died in Union Co., SC, circa 1835.I have been told that my grandmother's name was Mary Dee Missouri Hodge, the daughter of Samuel Hodge and Susan Wilson, but I know that she married Robert Daniel Eastep, and the 1850 census of Yalobusha County, MS, where they settled, gives the name of Drucilla as the only other adult on the census. Can you shed some light? We must be related, because Benjamin and Samuel were brothers, according to what I have been able to learn.Their father, John, fought in the Rev. War under Capt. John Thomson and Col. Brandon. Do these names and facts fit in with your information?
