A bit more on this - John (2) Hodder born 1780 at Odcombe, Somerset but not baptised at Sts Peter and Paul, Odcombe (Lufton) until 1788. John was a Yeoman (Farmer) in Thorne Coffin from at least 1814 to 1836. He married Pinninah Beaton (Sojourner) on 10th November, 1806 at Martock, Somerset. John Hodder was also born to Sojourners - Eli/Ely Hodder and Mary Drew. John and Pinninah Hodder had 7 and possibly 8 children, all baptised at St Andrews, Thorne Coffin, Somerset - Ann Hodder Bap. 20/1/1808, Robert Hodder born 16/9/1809, Elizabeth Hodder born 20/11/1811, John Hodder Bap. 20/3/1814, Thomas Hodder Bap. 16/5/1816, Pinninah Hodder Bap. 30/11/1818, Sarah Hodder Bap. 10/2/1821 and possibly Marian Hodder born in 1825.
The siblings of John (2) Hodder (All baptised at Sts Peter and Paul, Odcombe) were - Ann Hodder Bap. 18/12/1774, Elizabeth Hodder and John (1) Hodder who were twins (and sick) born on 30th March, 1777 and bap on 8th April, 1777, and Mary who was the twin of John (2) Hodder. Eli or Ely Hodder was buriedon 8th February, 1781 at St Catherine, Montachute, Somerset - it says that he was from Odcombe. He appears to have been baptised around 24th March, 1741/42 atSt Catherine, Montachute, Somerset. The Hodders and Trasks were two of the families who were tenants of the Phelips of Montachute House at Montachute. (National Archives of the UK). Some of Hodders were also Innkeepers in that vicinity in the late 1600's and the 1700's (British History online).
