Looking for Hockaday family in Enfield, NC and Norfolk, Va. My great Grandfather was Sandy Hockaday, born in Enfield which is also referred to as Brinkleyville or Ringwood. He married Letitia Pullen, same town, her parents were Mark and Elizabeth Pullen. I know that Sandy had at least two brothers (a W.W. Hockaday and John). Sandy and Letitia had six children: Bettie (my grandmother), James, Bynum, Cleophus, Carrie and Tennyson. Letitia had several sisters and at least one brother: Mark, Mary Eliza, Creecy and Cad. Pages from my grandmother's bible are not very clear but list additional names as well. Sandy's father was also named Sandy and he did about 1918 in Enfield. He was living with the Ivey family at the time.
