I was hoping to get more information on her. Members of my family have told me that a Sally Hobby was the real mother of my Great-grandfather William Richard Nobles born 1877 in Dooly Co., GA. He was later adopted by Llewellen and Margaret Nobles. The story also goes that she later married a banker from the Macon area.
Do you have a Sally in your line, or have you seen a Sally listed as a child of a Hobby family?
